Egypt Situation Updated (February 3, 2011) UniGroup Worldwide has kept in contact with our UniGroup UTS agent in Egypt, Express International. The staff, the office and the warehouse remain safe; however, the office is still closed with a tentative plan of reopening on Sunday, February 6, 2011. The internet and e-mail has been turned back on by the government. We understand that Customs remains closed, as well as air and seaports for anything but passengers and food commodities. While the office is closed, crews are able to handle a limited number of urgent jobs in non-conflict areas during the daytime hours, prior to the 5:00 p.m. government imposed curfew. Any shipment that is picked up is being stored in their warehouse until Customs returns to work and the sea/airport operation reopens. If you have any questions or concerns about a shipment you have or one in progress please be sure to contact your move manager here at the Home Office.
