Hurricane Ike Port Closures We have received information from vendors located in the path of Hurricane Ike, that ports in the Houston, Texas area will close 12pm Noon tomorrow. The area is in emergency preparation mode. The UP (Union Pacific) will close at 3pm today and the BNSF (Burlington Northern Santa Fe) will close at 5pm CST planning to reopen on Monday, September 15. They are limiting traffic on highways to evacuees and emergency vehicles. Please take note of this information and any shipments you may be sending or originating from this area being hard hit.
