Port-au-Prince Maritime Facilities Destroyed

(January 14, 2010)

We are in contact with Haiti representatives and monitoring their status as to staffing and the anticipated delays. Ocean cargo is being rerouted and airports in Haiti and the Dominican Republic are being used at this time. However, the Haiti airport is without their traffic control tower, so they are allowing planes in one at a time on and off the ground.

We will be sure to alert customers for any service disruptions. Should you have shipments to/from this area, please stay in contact with your UniGroup Worldwide UTS Move Manager for the latest status updates.

At this time, UniGroup Worldwide is assisting U.S. agents with relief supplies into Haiti. We wish all who are assisting in this effort much success.
