New Appointment of GM at UniGroup Worldwide UTS Canada (December 5, 2011) We welcome Huw Jones as the newest member to UniGroup Worldwide UTS Canada (UniGroup UTS Canada) in Mississauga, Ontario. Huw officially began working as General Manager of UniGroup UTS Canada on Nov. 14, 2011. Huw brings over 30 years of experience in the moving industry with him, including part owner and president of the Allied International agent for the Greater Toronto area and South West Ontario. Huw began his career in moving in 1980 in the UK and worked for Pickfords throughout the 1980's. He was a senior manager within the company, before transferring to Canada with Pickfords in 1990, when it acquired Allied Van Lines Canada. He returned to the UK in 1994 to set up his own commercial moving company, which he sold in 1996 to enable him to set up another company, which specialized in international moving. Huw later took on a partner and together they built the company into a successful business that was sold at the end of 2005 because both partners wanted to move overseas. Huw moved back to Canada and later spent one year as Vice President of a large international mover based in Toronto, before founding Monarch Moving Systems in early 2008. Monarch Moving Systems quickly became the Allied International agent for the Greater Toronto area and South West Ontario, which it remains today. Huw is very excited to join UniGroup Worldwide UTS Canada. We welcome Huw to UniGroup UTS family.
